JUST IN: NWC declares Sanwo-Olu winner of APC primary election
The National Working Committee panel of the APC has declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu winner of the gubernatorial primary election held across Lagos State on Tuesday.
The NWC had initially said it would not allow the election results to stand, but has apparently backtracked on that stance.
The committee’s Chairman, Clement Ebiri has now approved the results which saw Sanwo-Olu defeat Governor Ambode flawlessly.
Ebiri, during a press briefing on Wednesday (today), corroborated the Chairman of the APC in Lagos, Tunde Balogun’s results that Sanwo-Olu amassed a total of 970,851 votes compared to Ambode’s 72,901 votes.
