Jimi Agbaje emerges PDP candidate, to contest Lagos governorship election for 3rd time

Jimi Agbaje will again fly the banner of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2019 gubernatorial election in Lagos State.

He emerged winner in the party’s primary election on Friday, polling a total of 1,100 votes to defeat his rival Adedeji Doherty who polled 742 votes.

Agbaje had lost the election to governor Akinwunmi Ambode in 2015, but will now face APC candidate Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the general election in February.
