Investors Make N97bn Gains In Nigerian Stock Market Rebound

Investors’ earnings, on Wednesday, recorded a massive gain as the Nigerian stock market rebounded positively.

Neusroom gathered that investors’ portfolios reflected N97bn in earnings.

The market capitalisation of listed equities, opened at N55.033 trillion and advanced by 0.18 per cent or N97 billion to N55.130 trillion.

The All-Share Index also increased by 0.18 per cent (171 points) to settle at 97,098.98, as against 96,928.52 which was recorded on Tuesday.

This advacement caused the Year-To-Date return to soar to 29.86 percent.

27 gainers and 22 losers were recorded as market breath closed on a positive note.

Furthermore, market activities showed trade turnover settled higher in comparison to the previous session, with the value of transactions going up by 89.59 percent.

While the previous session showed 449.21 million shares valued at N6.74 billion traded in 9,381 deals, the new session revealed a total of 636.50 million shares worth N12.77 billion exchanged in 9,744 deals.

Redstarex led the gainers’ table by 10 per cent to close at N4.18 with Oando following behind by 9.98 per cent to close at N33.60 per share.

Neimeth, on ther other hand, led the losers’ table by 7.69 per cent to close at N1.80, with Honeywell Flour trailing closely by 6.10 per cent to close at N3.85 per share.
