INEC extends voters’ registration exercise for workers
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said all registration centers across the country will from August 1, be opened from 9am to 5pm, an extension on the usual 3pm closing period.
The commission also said centres will be opened on weekends within the period, to allow workers have time to register before the suspension of the registration exercise on August 17, 2018.
Many workers across the country have not been able to visit registration centres and had implored their respective state governments to declare a day off work to enable them participate in the process.
