Again! Indian leopard escapes from zoo
February 16, 2016
The Leopard that went on rampage in a school in India, February 7, has escaped again.
The leopard left about nine people injured before it was re-captured and moved back to the zoo for treatment that Sunday.
But it escaped again on Monday, February 15, when it jumped over the fences at the Bangalore’s Bannerghatta Zoo, CNN reports.
State wildlife chief, Ravi Ralph, said the animal could be in a national park that surrounds the zero.
He added that the chances of the leopard straying into residential areas are small because the zoo is surrounded by a national park that doesn’t contain any human habitat.
However, authorities are not taking any chances. They have alerted residential neighbourhoods..
