IMN members protest in Kano over killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) on Sunday staged a protest in Kano over reports alleging the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The demonstrators, numbering in the hundreds, carried Iranian flags and portraits of the cleric as they marched through parts of the city in what they described as a solidarity rally. The action followed reports that joint United States and Israeli strikes had resulted in the Iranian leader’s death.

The procession began around 3 p.m. at Fagge Central Mosque and proceeded peacefully to the IMN Islamic Centre in Kofar Waika. At the end of the march, participants gathered for speeches and prayers.

Clerics who addressed the crowd spoke on recent developments in the Middle East and warned of potential global consequences if tensions continue to escalate. A special prayer session was also held for the people of Iran, with attendees calling for peace and divine intervention amid the unfolding crisis.
