Ifeoma Abugu – In Memory Of Those Killed Illegally By The Nigerian Police

Ifeoma Abugu, 28, was allegedly sexually assaulted and killed by the personnel of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, in Abuja, four days after her introduction with her fiance.
On September 10, 2020, three policemen stormed the residence of Ifeoma’s fiancé, Afam Ugwunwa, in Abuja to arrest him; in his absence, they arrested Ifeoma and whisked her to an unknown destination.
Efforts by the family to know the police station she was taken to proved abortive until Ugwunwa got a call the next day that Ifeoma had died and her corpse had been deposited in the morgue.
