Ibrahim Momodu – In Memory Of Those Killed Illegally By The Nigerian Police

Ibrahim Momodu, a final year student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), was shot dead and buried by Police in Benin, Edo state on May 27, 2013. The Police claimed he was an armed robber.

Unlike many other victims of Police extrajudicial killings, Momodu got justice three years after his gruesome murder. In January 2016, a Benin High Court sentenced his killer, Corporal Amadin Idahosa to life imprisonment for manslaughter.
