Nigeria mourns as sources say Ibidun Ighodalo has passed on aged 39
Former beauty queen and leading entrepreneur, Ibidunni Ighodalo, is dead.
Neusroom gathered that the former beauty queen who was the face of Lux cosmetics died in her hotel room in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Sunday.
She was an entrepreneur who ran one of the leading event agencies on the sub continent.
Besides being the CEO of Elizabeth R, one of Nigeria’s high profile event management companies, Ibidunni was also a fertility champion who ran her own NGO – Ibidunni Ighodalo Foundation to support women with fertility issues – herself having tried IVF and failed over 10 times.
She was married to entrepreneur and pastor, Ituah Ighodalo of the Trinity House and would have clock 40 on July 21.
In the past month, the ex-beauty queen, who had made a strong name for herself in Nigeria’s event planning industry, was actively involved in setting up COVID-19 isolation centres in states like Rivers, Bayelsa, Enugu, etc. before her death.
The family is yet to issue a statement.
