Hoodlums hack 28-year-old LG Chairman’s supporter to death in Imo

A supporter of Jude Mbachu, the LGA Chairman of Isiala Mbano, Imo State, was murdered by some suspected hoodlums of a political party after the APC’s gubernatorial election on Tuesday.

The victim, 28-year old Chinonso Solomon, was murdered in his wife presence at Amaraku community in the LGA.

Mbachu confirmed that the hoodlums’ used cutlass in inflicting cuts that led to the death of his supporter.

“They have killed one of my boys. He was killed in the presence of his wife. He was given deep cuts by suspected political thugs.

“This is barbaric and it should be condemned by all lovers of democracy. I learnt that he had a disagreement with some people during the governorship primary of the APC at the polling unit; in the night, the thugs came and killed him,” the chairman said.

Obinna Onuegbu, the Chairman of the APC in Imo also confirmed Chinonso’s death.
