Hit-and-run driver knocks, kills former council leader in Delta

A driver knocked and killed one Henry Dudu, a former first Vice President of Aladja Community Council, along the Aladja/DSC Expressway in Udu Local Government Area, Delta state on Friday Morning.

Henry reportedly bled to death on the way to the hospital, while the supposed driver of the vehicle was said to have reported the incident at a nearby police station at Ovwian/Aladja. A  mob reportedly set his car ablaze.

The Assistant Secretary of Aladja Community Council, Ighotegwolor Bezi, confirmed Henry’s death.

“Henry Dudu was killed by a vehicle and the driver ran to the Police Station. However, we will ensure the Police does not cover up the matter, the late Henry Dudu served the community very well in his capacity as first Vice President. He is a gentleman to the core,” Bezi said.
