Herdsmen “ambush man, kill one, steal cows from farm” in Kogi
Some herdsmen have allegedly killed one person and carted away cows from the farm belonging to one Late Chief Silas Daniyan, SBD farms in Mopa, Kogi state.
The incident reportedly around 7pm Tuesday night when one of Late Daniyan’s brothers discovered that the man who was grazing the cow, Mallam Laisi Musa, had been attacked by the herdsmen and was in a critical condition.
Musa was reportedly ambushed by his attackers who dealt him machete blows.
He was being admitted at Rehoboth Clinic and Maternity, Mopa, where doctors are said to be battling to save his live.
A resident, Daramola, said: “On Tuesday, they attacked Musa, who went on normal daily work, taking those cows for pasture within the farm.
“They were to return at about 6pm, unfortunately he did not return. So, they were searching for him on the instruction of his elder brother, by going through where they normally take their cows to pasture and met him seriously macheted.
“His fate is in the hands of God”.
The case had been reported at the Mopa police divisional office.
