Happening now: Nnamdi Kanu treason trial commences

The treason case against the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu has commenced at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Expectedly, Kanu was absent as uncertainty still swirls around his disappearance since the army raid on his home last month.

The Department of State Security has also stopped journalists from covering the trial while Senator Eyinaya Abaribe who provided N100 million bond for Kanu’s bail in April has applied for the refund of his bond.
