Governorship, state Assembly and Area Council elections to hold March 2 – INEC
INEC has confirmed that the governorship poll across all states as well as Area Council and state Assembly elections will hold on March 2, 2019.
The electoral commission’s Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu said on Wednesday in Abuja that INEC is closely monitoring the presidential election campaign which officially kicked off on Sunday, to ensure compliance with the extant laws and regulations.
He urged citizens to update themselves with details of the chairmanship and councilorship candidates seeking to represent them from the list which will be published today.

The presidential election will still hold February 16.
