Girl, 16, bathes boy, 17, with acid for rejecting love advances
A displeased 16-year-old girl attacked a 17-year-old boy for rejecting her love advances by throwing acid on him in Bangladesh.
Mahmudul Maruf now lies in critical condition at the hospital.
His face has peeled badly.
Metro UK reports that the teenage girl had allegedly been chasing after Mahmudul for months despite him repeatedly turning her down.
Reports say the Mahmudul was on his way home from a night out with friends when he was confronted by the girl.
After confronting him, she threw the corrosive liquid straight at his face.
The girl and her mother have now both been arrested by police in Bangladesh.
