Former House of Reps member slumps, dies in his Abuja home
A former member of the House of Representatives, Independence Ogunewe, was on Tuesday found dead at his apartment in Abuja.
The 57-year-old deceased who was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party represented Ahiazu/Ezinihitte Federal Constituency, Imo State.
Ogunewe spent two terms as a House of Reps member.
The cause of the former lawmaker’s death is yet to be made public by the family members.
He reportedly slumped at his Gwarimpa, Abuja residence on Tuesday evening, and was confirmed dead at the hospital.
In the 6th Assembly (2007-2011), Ogunewe was the Chairman, House Committee on Aviation.
