Former Bauchi State Deputy Governor in court over N500 money laundering allegations

Former Bauchi State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Babayo Garba Gamawa, and former Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Aminu Hammayo were arraigned in court on Wednesday (today) for their alleged involvement in money laundering.

The former public office holders, along with three others, are facing a five-count charge bordering on conspiracy and money laundering to the tune of N500m.

They are awaiting trial before Justice M. Shitu at the Federal High Court sitting in Bauchi.
