Fire Guts Popular Ibadan Market, Million Naira Goods Destroyed
A section of the popular Oranyan market in Ibadan South East Local Government Area of Oyo State has been razed by fire.
This much was confirmed to newsmen by the General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Services, Mr. Yemi Akinyinka.
The fire incident, according to Akinyinka, occured on Monday.
Nuesroom learnt that the affected part is the herbs section of the market.

The fire which began at about 2:45am is said to have claimed many shops in the market.
According to Ayayinka, the Fire Services Headquarters received the distress call on the incident at exactly 23:25hrs.
“Properties worth millions of naira were affected but no life was lost,” he confirmed.
He also disclosed that 20 prefabricated shops are affected by the fire.
