“Fire corrupt SGF Babachir Lawal” – February 6 protesters demand

Nigerians, in defiance of police, have taken to the streets of Lagos and Abuja protesting against bad governance.
Protesters at Unity Fountain, Abuja, are demanding the sack or resignation of secretary to the federal government Babachir Lawal.
Lawal was named in the N220 million “grass-cutting” corruption scandal against Nigerians displaced by Boko Haram.
President Muhammadu Buhari, who wants to be “known as the man who fought corruption to a standstill, keeps Lawal in his cabinet in spite of the corruption allegations.
Police, while mute on pro-Buhari demonstrators, had threatened to deal with anti-government protesters. Watch video below…
