The former Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose has been granted a bail of N50m fro the Federal High Court in Lagos State, after he was charged by the EFCC for fraud of N2.2bn.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun who is in charge of the case gave this judgement and said the former governor should provide two sureties in like sum.
The judge also added that Fayose should still be held in prison custody until he provides the conditions of his bail.
Governor Fayose at the expiration of his tenure surrendered himself to EFCC custody. The agency before now at alluded to the fact that the controversial politician over the years has illegally enriched himself by embezzling state funds. He was then slammed with a 6.9 billion naira charge.
