Tax Ombudsman introduces digital platforms to improve taxpayer complaint resolution

The Office of the tax ombudsman has introduced a new website, toll-free call Centre and an electronic case management platform to make it easier for Nigerians to resolve tax-related complaints.

Speaking during the induction of the office of the pioneer staff in Abuja, the Chief Executive Officer of the Tax Ombudsman, Dr. John Nwabueze , said the new digital platforms demonstrate the office commitment to delivering efficient, transparent and accessible tax dispute resolution.

The new platforms are expected to provide taxpayers with easier ways to submit complaints, obtain information and monitor the progress of their cases without unnecessary delays.

“The office recently unveiled its official website and launched a toll-free call centre and a digital case management system, all of which are operated by competent personnel,” he said.

“These platforms enable taxpayers to obtain information, lodge complaints online or via telephone at no cost, and monitor the progress of their cases in real time.
