Family of six injured as house roof collapses under heavy rain

The roof of their home collapsed during a torrential rainfall in KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday, News24 reports.
An emergency service spokesperson said paramedics responded to the rural hamlet, Wednesday morning, meeting the family of six all injured.
He said the entire roof structure had collapsed on the family.
“This morning EMS paramedics had responded to the scene and found the family of six all in a serious condition. They had sustained injuries in the structural collapse incident,” he said.
“The six, including a young child, were treated and stabilised at the scene before being transported by ambulance to an area hospital in Madadeni for further medical care,” he added..
