Family of killed FRSC officer appeal for release of his corpse

The family of a Federal Road Safety Corp officer who was crushed to death by a hit-and-run driver at a stop in Abuja have appealed to the FRSC authorities to release his corpse to them for proper burial.

Adebomojo Oluwaseun, a 32-year-old official serving in the Federal Capital Territory Command is reported to have been going about his duty when he was killed on Sunday, December 6, 2018.

Speaking about the issue on behalf of the family, the elder sister to the deceased officer, Mrs. Adeola George-Ogosi disclosed that the family was going through unimaginable pain over the loss of their loved one.

“Since the news about Seun’s death was broken, the family has been in sadness. His mother and wife are currently on hospital bed and doctors are still trying to revive them from the shock,” she said.

Mrs. George-Ogosi further revealed that the FRSC had initially assured the family that the corpse will be released once autopsy was completed, but rescinded on their word afterwards.

“This has caused us another trauma. We are appealing to well-meaning Nigerians to speak to the FRSC. We were told the driver escaped but the vehicle had been impounded.

However, what has happened can’t be reversed but we must forestall the occurrence of another sad event in the family,” she said in reference to the condition of the deceased wife and mother.
