Family, friends in tears as murdered EBSU student is buried
Onele Theophilus Obinna was gunned down last Saturday by assailants police are yet to identify.
The 24-year-old was a final year student of History and International Relations at Ebonyi State University, Abakiliki.
“He was just a good guy,” Kate Ogechukwu, who knew the young man, told Newsroom. “He was a man of peace and a friend to all,” she said.
Theophilus was buried on Wednesday.
He’s survived by a mother, a father and several siblings.

“Theo,I still can’t believe you are gone,” another friend Onyinye Chikezie wrote on Facebook.
“We started this academic struggle together but never believed you would not end this struggle with us.
“We can’t question God because he knows the best. May your gentle soul rest in the blossom of the Lord.”
