Elon Musk Secures Top Spot as World’s Richest with $447 Billion Net Worth
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has claimed the title of the world’s richest person, according to the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The South African-born American entrepreneur has overtaken Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, reaching an astonishing net worth of $447 billion — surpassing Bezos by more than $190 billion.
This marks the first time in history that Musk’s wealth has surpassed the $400 billion threshold. His increase in wealth came after Tesla shares surged, closing at a record high of $424.77 per share on December 11.

Musk’s fortune has been bolstered by a series of successful ventures. In November, his artificial intelligence startup, xAI, more than doubled its value, skyrocketing from a few months ago to $50 billion following a new funding round, according to reports from The Wall Street Journal.
Elon Musk has experienced a staggering increase in his wealth, with 77% of his fortune accumulated following Donald Trump’s victory in the recent U.S. presidential election.
Beyond Tesla, He also owns X (formerly known as Twitter) and remains Tesla’s largest individual shareholder. His business empire continues to expand, and his wealth shows no signs of slowing down.
