#EkitiDecides2018: All 16 LGAs receive election materials, INEC promises credible poll
Ahead of the gubernatorial election in Ekiti on Saturday, all materials have now arrived at all the Local Government Areas in the state.
The INEC chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, has assured all citizens of the state that the Commission is committed and very ready to conduct a credible poll come July 14.
“All 16 LGAs have now received materials for the election. All vehicles used for delivery have returned to Ado-Ekiti,” the Commission said.
“All vehicles loaded with sensitive materials for distribution to 16 LGAs in Ekiti State for the July 14 governorship election are being tracked.”
There has been palpable tension in the state leading to the poll, with outgoing governor Ayodele Fayose accusing the police of attacking him on Wednesday.
