EFCC storms Lagos club, rounds up 12 suspected “Yahoo boys”

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has confirmed the arrest of over twelve suspected internet fraudsters.

The commission made known in a statement that its Lagos Zonal office, in the early hours of Friday, stormed Club 57, a popular club in Lagos.

The anti-graft agency said it acted on an intelligence report and on storming the club during its nightlife activity, the suspected ‘Yahoo Boys’ were rounded up.

While some took to their heels, abandoning their exotic cars to avoid arrest, a total of 10 cars were recovered during the raid that lasted three hours.

EFCC said the suspects would soon be charged to court when investigations are concluded.
