Ebola: Wife of Another Survivor Delivers Baby Girl

WHO’s report that the Ebola virus can persist at various sites in the human body for months after recovery continues to be a source of worry.

And she’s Ebola-free!

The wife of Dr. Adewale Adejoro, a male Ebola survivor, has been delivered of a healthy Ebola-free baby girl.

Mrs Opeyemi J. Adejoro, was delivered of the baby, 7:24pm on Tuesday, at the First Consultant Medical Centre, Lagos.

Weighing about 3kg at birth, the baby girl was a product of a term gestation and was delivered following strict guidelines and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), USA, through the pre-natal and delivery stages.

The Adejoro’s baby is the second baby to be delivered by a survivor of the dreaded Ebola disease in Nigeria.

In November 2015, First Consultant Medical Centre celebrated Dr Ada Igonoh’s safe delivery of a baby girl in the United States..
