Download Court Documents: Inside Samsung’s N65m copyright infringement suit

Samsung is facing a N65 million copyright infringement lawsuit for allegedly using a clip from Eagle Eye Production Limited’s video in its Galaxy Note 8 advert.

The Abuja-based production company had accused Samsung and Ringier of using a part of its aerial night view video of the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge, entitled “Lekki Ikoyi Link Bridge at Night”, in the advert, without appropriate permission.

The alleged original creators of the video say they got no monetary compensation, nor any acknowledgment, for Samsung’s alleged usage of their clip in the ad, and have sued the tech company.
