#DapchiGirls: FG confirms 101 students have regained freedom
The number of released Dapchi schoolgirls has increased to 101, according to the Federal Government.
Information minister, Lai Mohammed initially said 76 girls have been accounted for, before declaring that a total 91 girls have actually returned.
FG has now given another update on the development, saying further documentation of the freed girls by security agencies has put the number at 101.
Five girls were said to have died while the insurgents were taking them away last month.
New reports reveal the insurgents were in close contact with residents of Dapchi community when they arrived to return the girls.
Lai Mohammed had said the security agencies intentionally paused operational activities to allow the insurgents have a smooth passage into the community early Wednesday morning.
