Church pastor allegedly impregnates nine church members

Simply identified as Dukes, he is a man of God and the founder of the “Light of God Ministries” in Umunede, Delta State.

Given his revered position as the leader of a church, he preaches, organises youth fellowships and hold counselling sessions.

But several members of his own church have said he does much more than what men of God are expected to do.

He has reportedly been sleeping with his female church members for two years and impregnated nine of them – seven single and two married women.

“The self acclaimed reverend uses preaching, choirs and organised youth fellowship to get young girls,” Josephine Ogor, a member of his church, told Punch.

“That was what he did in Ute-Okpu, Otolokpo neighbouring communities before he moved into Umunede and he was driven away by the elders of the communities. He likes girls of 15, 16 and 17 years,” she reportedly added.

Some of his victims also reportedly claimed to have been hoodwinked into sexual intercourse with him.

“The man is fake, he uses magical powers to woo young girls he sleeps with, that was how we fell into his net, and our eyes were opened.”

They also claim the pastor operates by giving out olive oil bottles to female miracle seekers and young girls looking for suitors which keeps them glued to him until he takes them to bed.

But Reverend Dukes said it’s all false. He described the tales as attempts to blackmail him.

“I am not responsible for their pregnancies, they are liars,” he said.

Police in Agbor Division confirmed that the pastor was reported by some parents of the impregnated girls and that he was earlier arrested and released on bail.
