“Buhari will deliver on his promises to improve citizens’ lives” – Adeosun
Finance minister Kemi Adeosun met with World Bank Executive Directors on Thursday in Abuja.
Adeosun said she shared “with them encouraging news of the progress we’re making in stabilising and improving the Nigerian economy”.
She also gave an assurance that President Buhari will deliver on his promises to improve citizens’ lives.
“Nigerians should trust the Buhari Administration to deliver on its promises of improving the economy and providing sustainable infrastructure development,” she said in a tweet.
“All around the country we have rail, power and road projects ongoing, creating jobs, and improving citizens’ lives”.

The finance minister had told the World Bank executives during the meeting that the government would effectively utilise what she called a “temporary” increase in oil prices for the good of Nigerians.
“We are not getting complacent around the increase in oil prices but we will focus on the fundamentals that will drive this economy,” she said.
“This period is relatively good for oil prices, we are not resting on our laurels because we see this as temporary.
“So, it is not about the amount of money that comes in but how effectively we are able as a government to convert it for the good of our people.”
The head of the World Bank delegation, Patrizio Pagano, said the visit was for the purpose of understanding Nigeria’s economic priorities and providing the needed assistance for growth and development.
