It was indeed an embarrassing moment for troubled FIFA president Sepp Blatter on Sunday as a comedian approached him while he was addressing a press conference and sprayed him fake dollar notes.
The incident occurred at FIFA’s HQ in Switzerland.
British comedian and prankster, Simon Brodkin, gatecrashed the press conference and walked straight to Blatter’s table, The NET reports.
He ended up raining wads of fake dollars on the bewildered president.
“This is for North Korea 2026,” Brodkin was telling Blatter as the “rain” descended. Swiss police had to whisk the prankster away so the presser could proceed.
Blatter’s FIFA has been enmeshed in series of financial scandals which have seen top officials arrested.
Blatter had initially announced his resignation only to turn around and say he would stay on till the next president is chosen next February.
