BREAKING: Buhari jets out for medical treatment until further notice

President Muhammadu Buhari will, tonight, jet out of Nigeria to London for further medical treatment, his spokesperson, Femi Adesina has said.

Adesina said Buhari, whose health issue has been a subject of discourse in the past months, will be gone for as long as possible, depending on doctors’ advice.

The President might be absent when Nigeria celebrates its Democracy Day on May 29.

Buhari had, earlier on Sunday evening, received the recently released 82 Chibok girls in Abuja.

Adesina’s statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari proceeds to London tonight for follow-up medical consultation with his doctors.

“He had planned to leave Sunday afternoon, but decided to tarry a bit, due to the arrival of 82 Chibok girls who arrived Abuja earlier in the day.

“The President wishes to assure all Nigerians that there is no cause for worry.
