Brazil president Dilma Rousseff impeached by the senate
The Brazilian Senate has voted to remove President Dilma Rousseff, ending 13 years of rule by her party.
The senators voted 61 in favour and 20 against her impeachment, finding her guilty of manipulating the budget. This meets the two-thirds majority needed to remove her from office.
The acting president, who was her vice president before her trial began at the senate, will serve out the rest of her tenure.
