Borno deputy governor Mustapha Zannah “dies in Yola hotel room”

Borno State deputy governor, Zannah Mustapha, has been found dead in a hotel in room where he was lodged ahead of a convocation ceremony, reports say.

Zannah reportedly passed on in a hotel in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

He was staying in the hotel ahead of his appearance at the convocation ceremony of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology holding, Saturday.

Reports say he was on assignment to represent Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima at the ceremony.

He was reportedly found dead in his room, Saturday morning.

Borno and Adamawa governments are yet to confirm or deny the report of Zannah’s death which reportedly occurred in a hotel room along Army Barracks road in the city.

Reports say Zannah’s corpse has been deposited at the Federal Medical Hospital in Yola, which remain heavily guarded, Saturday morning.

Zannah’s reported passing is breeding unease in Borno State, reports say.
