Boko Haram: 6 blown to death as 4 suicide bombers attack Maiduguri
Three female suicide bombers were at the early hours of Monday intercepted while trying to sneak in to Mammanti Village, in Jere local government area, some 10kms from Maiduguri the Borno state capital.
They were intercepted by the Youth Vigilante – AKA the Civilian JTF. In the process, one of the bombers detonated IED strapped to her body killing herself alone.
The other two tried to escape but were shot dead by security personnel on duty.
EOD mine drafted to the scene to sanitise and render the area safe. Normalcy is restored.
Another suicide bomber attacked travellers from Maiduguri to Biu, also Monday morning. Three people were killed.
