“Blood of Jesus will cure Lassa fever” – GOFAMINT pastor

The deadly Lassa virus made a debut at the Gospel Faith Mission International (GOFAMINT) on Sunday. But it wasn’t there to kill. It was merely a point of discussion.
“The most important thing of all this is that I know the blood of Jesus will cure Lassa fever,” Pastor Oluwasegun Adekoya, who presides over GOFAMINT in Iwaya area of Lagos State told his congregation.
Moments earlier, he had given the pulpit to Sister Nifemi Familoni to enlighten the gathering on how to beat Lassa virus.

Familoni emphasised the need to keep rats away, and that for personal hygiene.

Another minister in the church who happens to be a healthcare practitioner also told the congregation, among other things, to avoid eating any food contaminated by rat faeces or bites.
Adekoya expressed the same view but added that if it comes to the worst, the blood of Jesus would intervene and save the day.
The church then continued its Sunday morning worship service.

All GOFAMINT branches are currently holding their annual 30-day fasting programme tagged “Victory Month.”
Before the morning worship and the prayers began, Sunday, Adekoya told the congregation there was need for enlightenment on Lassa fever.
…and there was enlightenment.
Adekoya’s view is nothing new. A major teaching of the Christian faith is that God can heal any disease in the name of Jesus.
But the pastor was also quick to warn that Christians should not thrown hygiene to the wind in the fight against Lassa fever which has killed at least 43 people in the latest outbreak.
