Battle for Delta Community Chieftaincy Leaves 1 Dead.
The conferment of a chieftaincy title on a Delta indigene in Aboh community has resulted in the death of one person, Neusroom gather.
The slain man is said to have been shot dead on Sunday.
Three other persons in the community sustained significant injuries in the tensions that followed.
Sources within the community state that the clash was instigated by those against the conferment of the Chieftancy title.
The opposition is said to have clashed with hunters in the community leading to fatalities.
The incident was later confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Bright Edafe.

He revealed that all the affected persons were rushed to the hospital.
One of the casualties, however, died at the hospital, he said.
“It was as a result of two factions that they have in the community. Somebody was given a chieftaincy title and part of the protocol was that once you are given the title, you will dance round the community.
“When he was dancing, he now danced to the faction of the group that was not on his side, so they attacked him.
“The man that was dancing also carried some hunters who were escorting him. When they attacked him, the hunters retaliated,” he revealed.
Neusroom now understand that a curfew has been imposed by the Chairman, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, Vincent Osilonya.
The curfew runs from from 7pm to 6am each day in Aboh.
“The position is that we have imposed a curfew in Aboh from 7.pm to 6am while we are speaking with them to sheath their swords. Nobody should take laws into their hands.”
