Awwww! Prominent Nigerian lawyer in tears after Kaduna restaurant worker show rare honesty
The honest ones have been born and Patience “of Kaduna” is one of them.
The hotel where she works is offering customers free meals at its restaurant this Friday.
After a customer insisted on paying for the meal by slipping a naira note on his table and sneaking out of the restaurant, Patience returned to clear the table, and…
I just ate breakfast at the restaurant of my hotel in Kaduna. A bill was left on the table while I ate, by the girl in attendance. She was not present when, having finished, I opened the bill. It was clearly stated as “complimentary”. Signed, Patience. So, I slipped into the bill a N500 note and the slipped out of the restaurant, unnoticed. Next thing I heard was a knock on my door. It was Patience, when I opened, saying, “Excuse me sir, the breakfast was complimentary”. My N500 was in her hand, stretched forth to me. I waved her off quickly, saying, “Okay, you keep it.”
Lesson: I’m back in my home state, where everybody is honest.
Lesson: why did I leave home?
What I’m doing: crying.
