Army intercepts suspected bandits in Nasarawa

The Nigerian Army on Saturday intercepted a Nissan bus with 20 occupants along Nasarawa – Abuja road while conducting a routine check.
The occupants, on interrogation, claimed they were hunters from Adamawa on transit to Abuja for National Hunters Association scheduled to take place on Saturday.
Items recovered from the suspects nclude: 17 locally made guns, 135 Cartridges, two locally made pistols, one locally made knife, three cutlasses, one bow, 38 arrows, and assorted charms.
The army says the suspects will be handed over to the appropriate authority after the completion of investigation.
