Anti-Drug abuse campaigner, David Jones David excited to join the ‘MTN Drug Convos’

Nigerian music artist and anti-drug abuse campaigner, David Jones David, has shared his excitement as one of the speakers at the MTN ‘Drug Convos’, an online conversation on the dangers of drug and substance abuse.

David announced his participation as a speaker in the session through an awareness video published on his YouTube channel where he advised people dealing with issues to seek help instead of resorting to substance abuse.

“No matter the problem, speak to somebody – your friends, your parents. Substance abuse will never be the answer; it will destroy you before you have even lived,” he said.

The virtual event tagged ‘Better Knowledge For Better Care: An Ally Against Drug Abuse’ is scheduled to hold by 2pm on Friday, June 26, 2020, in commemoration of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. It will feature live music and entertainment, amid serious discussions on drug abuse.

David will be joined by comedian and OAP, Nedu Wazobia and R&B musician, Praiz in a panel discussion that will be moderated by Nigerian media personality, Folu Storms.

The MTN ‘Drug Convos’ is organized by MTN Nigeria in partnership with Business Day newspaper, The Netng, MTV Base and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).
