Ambode compensates slain officers’ families, citizens want same for victims of police killings

Lagos State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has donated N55m to families of slain security officers.
He presented a cheque of N55m to the families of five security officers who were killed by militants in the Ikorodu area of the state.
The officers were killed after successfully rescuing kidnapped victims kept in the riverine area by the militants.
The families of the slain officers got N10m each, while an officer who sustained injury during the attack got N5m.

Citizens say it is a good gesture by Ambode and worthy of emulation, but say they want similar compensations, and justice, for families of victims of police killings.
