All the countries Nigerians can travel to without a visa

Traveling abroad has become increasingly difficult for Nigerians and the recent US visa ban by Trump has added to the troubles. There are many hurdles for many Nigerian passport holders who are applying for visas for vacations or to live and work in foreign countries.

Despite the hassles, there are many countries within Africa and beyond where Nigerians can travel without applying for visas. The only requirements are just a valid passport, a valid health certificate, proof of sufficient funds and a valid return ticket.

For those who love to travel without unnecessary visa stress, here are countries and territories with visa-free policies for Nigerians.

ECOWAS Countries:

Citizens of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS are granted visa-free entry for up to 90 days in member countries. This means that Nigerians can travel to the following countries without visas.

Cape Verde

Ivory Coast (Cote d’Ivoire)

Benin Republic

Ghana

Togo

The Gambia

Guinea

Liberia

Senegal

Guinea-Bissau

Sierra Leone

Burkina Faso

Mali

Niger

Visa-free Countries

These countries grant Nigerians visa-free entry for a varying period of time.

Chad – free entry.

Barbados – visa-free for up to 6 months.

Cameroun – no visa for a period of 90 days.

Cook Islands – visa-free entry for tourism for a period of 31 days.

Dominica – visa-free entry for 6 months.

Fiji Island – up to 4 months without a visa

Montserrat – free entry

Svalbard – free entry

Seychelles –  entry visa for 3 months with the option of an additional 3 months extension.

Vanuatu – visa-free for a maximum of 30 days.

Saint Kitts and Nevis – free entry

Visa on arrival or e-visa Countries

Nigerians only need to get a short stay visa on arrival in the following countries.

Kenya – visa on arrival/e-visa for 90 days

Ethiopia – visa on arrival/ e-visa for 90 days

Lebanon – visa on arrival for 30 days

Gabon – e-visa

Rwanda – visa on arrival/e-visa for 30 days

Antigua and Barbuda – e-visa

Mauritius – visa on arrival for 14 days

Comoros – visa on arrival for 45 days
