Air Peace’s Direct Flights To Sao Paulo to Enhance Nigeria-Brazil Ties.
Nigeria’s flag carrier, Air Peace, is set to launch direct flights from Lagos to São Paulo, Brazil, following a landmark agreement between President Bola Tinubu and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The deal was announced during a joint press conference at the Palácio do Planalto in Brasília, where the two leaders witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs).
The direct flight between Lagos and São Paulo aims to strengthen economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties between Nigeria and Brazil. According to President Lula, “Increasing the direct connections between Nigeria and Brazil is another essential step to strengthen the ties between our societies.”
The agreement marks a significant milestone in the bilateral relations between the two countries, with potential benefits for trade, tourism, and investment. Festus Keyamo, Nigeria’s Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, and Silvio Costa Filhos, Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, signed a bilateral air services agreement to boost trade, tourism, and people-to-people ties.
President Tinubu’s state visit to Brazil included meetings with senior Brazilian government officials and the signing of several agreements, highlighting the growing partnership between the two nations.
