Africa’s Greatest Legends Are Back on Stage this Christmas
Critically acclaimed musical, the Legends show is back for a second run this December.
After a successful run in late October, ‘Legends, Kings and Kingdoms: the Musical’ is coming back to the Shell Hall of the MUSON Centre in Onikan Lagos, from the 22nd to the 26th of December, 2018.
The musical drama, a collaborative production of Seeing Through the Arts and Declassical Arts & Entertainment is sponsored by the MTN Foundation and produced by an alumnus of the MTN Foundation-MUSON Scholarship Programme for creative professionals, Ayo Ajayi. Its stunning cast includes such industry veterans as vocalist and lyricist Yinka Davies and Crown Troupe of Africa artistic director, Segun Adefila.
Centred on a cast of historical figures from Africa’s glorious past coming together to serve a people facing imminent doom, the production promises to brighten the festive season with its unique re-imagination of the continent’s long and vibrant history and culture for contemporary audiences.
Like the first run, MTN Foundation is sponsoring this second run, as part of its Arts and Culture initiative where the company sponsors authentically Nigerian stories across a range of genres, including Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, the Life in My City Art Festival in Enugu, Our Son the Minister and the Made in Nigeria Poetry Show.
