45-year-old man married to 3 women rapes daughter in Ogun
Despite having been married to three different women, 45-year-old Idowu Owolabi allegedly couldn’t look beyond his daughter for sex.
Police in Ogun say the suspect raped the 21-year-old at Papa Olosun area of Oja-Odan and threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
The victim was said to have reported the incident at the police division in the area on Tuesday.
She told policemen that Owolabi had been carrying out the act since March 2018, when she went to assist him in the farm.
“He forcefully had carnal knowledge of me and threatened to kill me if I told anyone. On the way home, he begged me and promised to give me whatever I wanted,” she is quoted as saying.
“Since then, it has been from one sexual molestation to another. He would forcefully penetrate me at home, whenever he wanted. I got fed up of the whole matter and decided to report to the Police.”
Owolabi, state police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said, blamed the evil act on the devil.
“Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime, but blames it all on devil,” Oyeyemi, who said investigation revealed Owolabi had been married to three women, said.
