19-year-old arraigned in court for raping 13-year-old girl in Osun
An alleged rapist identified as 19-year-old Alabi Princewill has been arraigned before an Osun Magistrate’s Court in Ile-Ife.
Princewill allegedly conspired with an accomplice and raped a 13-year-old girl at Oke-Alaafia Street, Ifetedo, Ife North Local Government Area of Osun state around 11:15 pm.
He was charged for rape and indecent assault.
The prosecutor Sgt. Bassey Asukwo, told the court that the suspect committed the crime on August 8.
The defence counsel, Ben Adirieje, sought for bail for Princewill who pleaded not guilty on the two charges levelled on him. Ben told the court that his client would be available whenever he is needed.
The ruling on the bail application was fixed for October 12 by Magistrate Olowolagba, who ordered that Princewill be remanded in prison.
