*Restoration of peace in Niger Delta.
*He made way for ND Amnesty Programme which led to increase in oil output & increase in revenue.
*He recommended dredging of River Niger after 40 years.
*He Upheld rule of law and due process.
*He released the N10 billion Lagos State local government councils’ funds withheld by Obasanjo.
*He had courage to reserve Obasanjo’s controversial sale of national assets.
*The first & only president to publicly declare his assets.
*He demanded unspent funds be returned to national treasury by all MDAs.
*He took care of Almajiris by building Almajiri Schools.
*Initiated Abuja-Kaduna rail route, Abuja-Kano rail, Abuja Metro Line.
*He built Abuja airport highway after decades of abandonment.
*Construction of 5 agro-export conditioning centres got started.
*10 rice processing centres being built for processing 1m metric tons.
*Increased 4000 hectares of irrigated land to over 150,000 hectares.
*Created Federal Ministry for Niger Delta.
*Petroleum Industry Bill(PIB) was developed and presented to the National Assembly.
*Electoral Reform was iniated.
*Contracts awarded for rehabilitation & construction of 34 Federal Highways.
*He completed 13 of major highway works inherited from Obasanjo administration. Yar’adua achieved all this & more by 29 May 2009.
