115 “trapped” as gold mine collapses in South Africa

A gold mine in eastern South Africa collapsed, Friday morning, and several miners have been reported missing.
Reports about the number of persons still trapped vary between 100 and 115 while News 24 South Africa reports that only three miners remain trapped.
But a spokesman for the Association of Mineworkerss and Construction Union (AMCU) said 115 of its members were “unaccounted for” following the tragic accident.
It is still unclear what lead to the disaster.
Meanwhile, some 49 miners have been rescued with minor injuries.
The mine is located around 224 miles east of Johannesburg..
